Merry Xmas, rockers!

And a Happy New Year! While you're writing your letters to Mr. Santa, please pay attention to the Anydoll MySpace or to the mp3 player @ anydoll.net! Because there it is: Anydoll's christmas carol 2008, Leave All Behind!!!

Ok, it's not exactly a christmas carol but anyway, who cares? Leave All Behind is a state-of-the-art catch from the depths of our hard disk. It was recorded last spring in our headquarters (read: a small rehearsing room). We decided to forget our brains for a while (which wasn't so hard) and just play some rock'n'roll. As a result, the song is also known among the band as "The Beer Drinking Anthem" or, alternatively, as "C.S.I. Miami".

Behave, Santa Claus is coming to your town.

Almost there

I'll bet that barely no one could honestly say that we haven't raised our latest musical offspring careful enough. Seriously. Anydoll has spent the hole damn fall taming four new songs. Our very own Chinese Democracy, I should say. Let's hope that Dr. Pepper will pay attention to our stuff too :)

First we recorded, then re-recorded, then re-re-recorded, then listened the hole package and made a conclusion that it doesn't sound good enough, then found ourselves wondering in the middle of the square one again. And we went through this plot quite many times. But as a result, we are (finally) pretty sure, that our coming ep - named PRIVATE SHOW - will totally overtake your new shiny mp3 players and blow away the dirt from your little ears!

To be little more precise, we have spent most of the time tuning up the new Anydoll sound. We want to have a sound that no one else has, period. We want to be naive and believe that rock music can sound fresh and still be in that so called mainstream (what ever that f****** means). There will be a bunch of new elements in our new songs but we'll get back to those later on!

Last week we nearly finished writing the lyrics (man how tricky it can be), but there is still a lot of work to do before we can start recording the ep "for real". But, at all events, the new songs are on their way and they will be gorgeous :)

Love, peace, etc.

Not Here To Remain song of the week!

Our lovely song was chosen as song of the week at mikseri.net (Finnish site). The songs from the Everything's Fine?-EP were uploaded to the site at the weekend and the administrators immediately chose Not Here To Remain on the front page of their site. It seems that they have liked it :)

While we are enjoying ourselves with the new stuff you can check how the critics of desibeli.net have treated our previous material (Reviews are in Finnish, sorry).

The beauty of pre-producing...

Ok, here we go again. We have started pre-producing the new Anydoll EP. Four songs of new s***. Isn't it cool or what!?!?

In the case we are busy enough (of course we are...), we will add some photos and videos from our voyage of laughter and tears :)

And, of course, you will hear our new stuff sooner or later.

Take care,
Chris

Tomorrow we will play at Poppari, Jyväskylä. The show will begin at 21.30-22.00. Tickets will be 3 or 5 €, can't remember ... but I bet you guys won't be that short of cash, right?

I hope that rally weekend didn't drink all of your juices and you are still standing tall and make it to the Poppari. I hope that I see lot of rockers out there. Three or four new songs will be added to our set so there's another good reason to come and see us on the huge stage of Poppari... !

Welcome.

ANYDOLL is: Writing, training, recording and rocking!

Hey hey hey-y!

Okay. It's been totally silent at the Anydoll camp...

...NOT ! ! !

...Actually we've been working really hard. We have been writing, training and recording new songs. Not sure what will be next in the schedule maybe some sort of release at the end of this year or beginning of the next year, who knows. But I can give you one promise: The new songs will rock YOU really HARD when they are ready. That's for sure.

See you.
